Abstract: The library at Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi is a cornerstone of academic and intellectual life on campus, housing a collection of 12,000 books that cater to the diverse needs of nearly 130 students and 19 faculty members daily. This study investigates the library's multifaceted role in supporting the college community's educational and research activities. Utilising Python for statistical analysis and data visualisation, the study comprehensively examines library usage patterns, services offered, and their overall impact on students and faculty. The findings reveal that students who regularly use the library achieve higher academic performance, with a significant portion scoring between 60% and 80%, and an average of 66%. Additionally, a survey of 100 students indicates that nearly 100% are satisfied with the library facilities. The study also identifies challenges faced by the library and proposes strategies for future enhancements. These findings underscore the library's crucial role in promoting academic excellence and student satisfaction, highlighting its importance in the educational framework of GDC Thannamandi.
